Prosper Street Technologies is an emerging Bay Area company that has invented and patented a revolutionary technology for the world's first comfortable keyboard, intuitively designed to conform to the shape of the human hand. Our keyboards are ergonomically engineered to accommodate normal variations in finger length and are reached through natural finger movement - the first keyboards that will really change the way people touch technology.

This all came about because the hands of a young San Francisco lawyer became increasingly disabled as a consequence of using the standard flat keyboard at her computer. None of the various "ergonomic" keyboards on the market solved her problem, but she was determined to find a solution. She designed new keycaps on a standard keyboard incorporating raised and elongated key shapes to eliminate reach, wrist twisting, and other unnatural hand movements. This model not only provided a comfortable alternative for the inventor, but also attracted the attention of a number of savvy business people including several keyboard industry professionals.

Together we set about building a company around this unique concept and the patent then pending at the United States Patent and Trademark Office. A team was recruited, a Limited Liability Company was formed, and U.S. Patent 5,899,616 was issued in May 1999. U.S. Patent 6,183,149 was issued to Prosper Street on February 6, 2001. The Microsoft® Natural keyboard, and the Kinesis™ keyboard were made of record in this prosecution and the Examiner viewed Prosper Street's keyboard as patentable over these. A third patent is pending and International applications have been filed and are presently pending in Australia, Canada, China, Europe, Japan, and South Korea. Prosper Street Technologies was on its way!

Since that time our team of top-notch design and engineering professionals has taken the original Prosper Street concept through an extensive research and development process. We began with CAD renderings and rough prototypes, and then developed working prototypes which were evaluated in several rounds of consumer and workplace testing. Recently, we have partnered with NMB Technologies Corporation, the world's number one keyboard manufacturer to do what it takes to bring our remarkable keycaps to the market. Together with the Engineering Group at their R&D Center for keyboard and new technology development in southern California, we have designed and built highly engineered pre-production prototypes ready for tooling and manufacture.
